The Bessie Head Library in Pietermaritzburg, Msunduzi Local Municipality, is the oldest library in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It was established in 1849 and became a legal deposit library in 1916. It is named after the writer Bessie Head. Bessie Head Library is situated 460 metres northeast of SAPS.
