Almaty Botanical Garden

Almaty Botanical Garden is the main botanical garden of Almaty, Kazakhstan. Owned by the Republican "Institute of Botany and Phytointroduction" of the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Education and Science, it was founded in 1932 on an area of 108 hectares. Almaty Botanical Garden is situated 1 km west of KazNU meteostation.

The Sunkar International Ski Jumping Complex is ski jumping center in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It's located in Gorniy Gigant District in the southern part of the city at an altitude of 900 metres above sea level in a unique place where there is almost no wind. Sunkar is situated 1 km southeast of KazNU meteostation.

The Central State Museum of Kazakhstan is the largest museum in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and one of the largest museums in Central Asia. When first established in 1931, the museum was located in the Almaty Cathedral. Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan is situated 2½ km northeast of KazNU meteostation.
