The Breithorn is a mountain of the Swiss Lepontine Alps in the Valais. It is part of the municipality Grengiols and overlooks the lower Goms on the north side and the Saflischtal on the south side, east of the Bättlihorn. Breithorn is situated 2½ km southwest of Hubu.

Lax railway station is a railway station in the municipality of Lax, in the Swiss canton of Valais. It is an intermediate stop on the 1,000 mm metre gauge Furka Oberalp line of the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn and is served by local trains only. Lax railway station is situated 3 km northwest of Hubu.

Ausserbinn is a former municipality of the canton of Valais, Switzerland, and now part of the municipality of Ernen. Prior to its incorporation within Ernen, it was one of Switzerland's smallest municipalities with a population of only 47 as of 2000.

Ernen is a municipality in the district of Goms in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. In 2005 Ernen incorporated the formerly independent municipalities of Ausserbinn, Mühlebach, and Steinhaus. Ernen is situated 2½ km north of Hubu.
