The Treaty House at Waitangi in Northland, New Zealand, is the former house of the British Resident in New Zealand, James Busby. The Treaty of Waitangi, a document that established the British Colony of New Zealand and which holds importance in the country's national mythos, was signed in the grounds of the Treaty House on 6 February 1840.

Te Haumi is a settlement south-east of Paihia and north-west of Opua in the Bay of Islands area of Northland Region, New Zealand. The Rangatira Tohitapu lived at Te Haumi until his death in 1833. He is remembered in the naming of Tohitapu Road. Te Haumi is situated 2½ km south of Paihia.
