The Downtown Summerlin shopping center or DTS is an outdoor shopping, dining, and entertainment center. It is a part of the greater Downtown Summerlin area, a 400-acre development which lies within the community of Summerlin South on the western outskirts of Las Vegas, Nevada. Downtown Summerlin is situated 2½ miles north of The Ridges.

The Lakes is a 2-square-mile planned community located within the city limits of Las Vegas, Nevada. It is located in the western part of the Las Vegas Valley near the Spring Mountains and Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. The Lakes is situated 3 miles northeast of The Ridges.

This article comprises the part of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Area that is West of I-15, but south of Summerlin Parkway and US 95. Many just-off-strip attractions and lodging can be found here, as well as Chinatown Vegas along a 3 mile stretch of Spring Mountain Rd.
