Independence Square, formerly known as Republic Square or Square of the Republic is the central town square of Podgorica, Montenegro. It is located in Nova Varoš, which is the administrative and socio-cultural heart of the city. Independence Square is situated 120 metres northwest of Voli.

The Montenegrin National Theatre is located in Montenegrin capital of Podgorica. It was founded in 1953, in the beginning as a city theatre, under the name Titograd National Theatre. Montenegrin National Theatre is situated 310 metres northwest of Voli.

Podgorica, during SFR Yugoslavia named Titograd in honor of Josip Broz Tito, the long-lasting leader of Yugoslavia, is the capital of Montenegro. While not a typical European eye candy, the city is definitely worth visiting, owing to its interesting mix of old and new, its café culture and nightlife, and its laid back Mediterranean atmosphere.

Stara Varoš is an Ottoman-era neighbourhood in Podgorica, Montenegro. It was the core of the city between the 15th and 19th century. Much of the neighbourhood was damaged or destroyed during the bombing of Podgorica in World War II, though some buildings and monuments remain.
