The Dormition of the Mother of God Cathedral is the largest church building in Varna and the third largest cathedral in Bulgaria. Officially opened on 30 August 1886, it is the residence of the bishopric of Varna and Preslav and one of the symbols of Varna. Dormition of the Mother of God Cathedral is situated 190 metres north of Йо-хо-хостел.
