Messeplatz is a paved 53,800 square-foot plaza between exhibition halls that serves as a public fairground or gathering area in the city of Basel. It is considered the heart of the Art Basel fair, as well as other annual Basel trade shows, which take place in the neighboring Messe Basel buildings. The Landhof was a sports stadium in the district Basel-Wettstein in Kleinbasel, Basel. It was the former and first home stadium of FC Basel. It is mentioned for the first time in a chronicle in the second half of the 18th century as a nice summer house with beautiful property. Landhof is situated 130 metres southeast of Basel Messe.
