The Treaty House at Waitangi in Northland, New Zealand, is the former house of the British Resident in New Zealand, James Busby. The Treaty of Waitangi, a document that established the British Colony of New Zealand and which holds importance in the country's national mythos, was signed in the grounds of the Treaty House on 6 February 1840. Treaty House is situated 1½ km north of Rainbow Superette.

Puketona is 10 kilometres west, and Paihia is 4 kilometres east, The name means a continuous noise or roar in the Māori language, which refers to the sound of Haruru Falls, a five metre high broad waterfall about a kilometre away. Haruru is situated 2½ km west of Rainbow Superette.
