Ohev Sholom Congregation is the oldest Orthodox synagogue in the Shepherd Park neighborhood of Washington, D.C., in the United States. The synagogue was formed from the merger of two earlier synagogues, Ohev Sholom and Talmud Torah. Ohev Sholom Congregation is situated 470 feet south of Washington Ethical Society.

Lowell School is an independent, diverse, co-educational preschool through 8th grade school located in the Colonial Village neighborhood near Shepherd Park Washington, D.C. The school was founded by Judith Grant and Susan Semple in 1965 during the Civil Rights Movement on the educational philosophies of Haim Ginott, Jean Piaget, Maria Montessori, John Dewey, and Friedrich Fröbel. Lowell School is situated 560 feet west of Washington Ethical Society.

Silver Spring station is a former train station on the Metropolitan Subdivision in Silver Spring in Montgomery County, Maryland. It was built in 1945 by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad on the foundation of a previous station, a Victorian-style brick structure built in 1878.
