Birkhadem or Bir Khadem is a commune in Algiers Province and a suburb of the city of Algiers in northern Algeria. As of the 2008 census, it had a population of 77,749. Birkhadem is situated 3 km northwest of Ain Malha.

Saoula is a suburb of the city of Algiers in northern Algeria. It is one of the five municipalities in the Bir Mourad Raïs District. Saoula's name most likely comes from two Arabic words: saha, which means "open place", and oula, which means "first". Saoula is situated 4 km west of Ain Malha.
