Gwangjang Market, previously Dongdaemun Market, is a traditional street market in Jongno District, Seoul, South Korea. The market is one of the oldest and largest traditional markets in South Korea, with more than 5000 shops and 20,000 employees in an area of 42,000 m2. Gwangjang Market is situated 240 metres northwest of Bangsan Market.

Heunginjimun, a.k.a. Dongdaemun, is one of The Eight Gates of Seoul in the Seoul City Wall, a prominent landmark in central Seoul, South Korea. The Korean name "Dongdaemun" means "Great East Gate," and it was so named because it was the major eastern gate in the wall that surrounded Seoul during the Joseon period. Tongdae-mun is situated 1 km east of Bangsan Market.
