Savaneta is a town and region in southeastern Aruba. Until 1797, it was the island's capital city. It is home to the island's oldest surviving home, a 150-year-old cas di torto, or mud hut.

San Nicolaas is 19 kilometres southeast of Oranjestad, and is Aruba's second largest city. As of 2010 it has a population of 15,283, many of whom originate from the British Caribbean and the rest of the Caribbean. San Nicolaas is situated 4 km east of Savaneta.
