Theatine Church

The Theatine Church of St. Cajetan and Adelaide is a Roman Catholic church in Munich, Southern Germany. Built between 1663 and 1690, it was founded by Elector Ferdinand Maria and his wife, Henriette Adelaide of Savoy, as a gesture of thanks for the birth of the long-awaited heir to the Bavarian crown in 1662, Prince Max Emanuel.

Feldherrnhalle

The Feldherrnhalle is a monumental loggia on the Odeonsplatz in Munich, Germany. Modelled after the Loggia dei Lanzi in Florence, it was commissioned in 1841 by King Ludwig I of Bavaria to honour the tradition of the Bavarian Army. Feldherrnhalle is situated 140 metres southeast of Galerie Maulberger.

Odeonsplatz is an important U-Bahn interchange station on the northern edge of Munich's Old Town. It is serviced by the, and, lines of the Munich U-Bahn system, with U4, and U5 running in an east-west direction and U3, and U6 running perpendicular in a north-south direction.

Altstadt meaning "old city" is the very heart of Munich. Three gates are all that remain of the medieval defensive walls, but within is a well-preserved district with many of Munich's iconic sights: twin-towered Frauenkirche, New City Hall with clockwork figures dancing to the chimes of its Glockenspiel, and Hofbräuhaus that temple to drinking and gorging.
