The Altkönig is the third highest mountain of the Taunus range in Hesse, Germany, reaching a height of 798.2 m above sea level. Its summit is lies within the borough of Kronberg im Taunus not far from the village of Königstein im Taunus which is part of Falkenstein in the Hessian county of Hochtaunuskreis.

The Heidetränk Oppidum near Oberursel in the Taunus in Germany is one of Europe's most important Celtic oppida. The oppidum was surrounded by ramparts which encircled the settlement of opposite sides of a ravine called the Heidetrankthal. Heidetrank Oppidum is situated 1½ km northeast of MGV 1860 Kronberg.
