Blarney Castle is a medieval stronghold in Blarney, a town in Cork, Ireland. Though earlier fortifications were built on the same spot, the current keep was built by the MacCarthy of Muskerry dynasty, a cadet branch of the Kings of Desmond, and dates from 1446. The Kilnap Viaduct is an eight-arch railway viaduct located in Cork, Ireland. Built in 1845, it carried the Great Southern & Western Railway line to Cork over the valley of Glennamought River and Mallow Road, and is still in use today as part of the main Dublin to Cork line.
