The Jewish Museum Berlin was opened in 2001 and is the largest Jewish museum in Europe. On 3,500 square metres of floor space, the museum presents the history of the Jews in Germany from the Middle Ages to the present day, with new focuses and new scenography. Jewish Museum Berlin is situated 1 km northwest of Prinzenstraße.
Checkpoint Charlie

Checkpoint Charlie was the Western Bloc's name for the best-known Berlin Wall crossing point between East Berlin and West Berlin during the Cold War, becoming a symbol of the Cold War, representing the separation of East and West. Checkpoint Charlie is situated 1½ km northwest of Prinzenstraße.
