The Coa halt, is a closed interface of the Douro line, which used to serve the town of Vila Nova de Foz Côa, in the Guarda District, in Portugal. The halt started operating on 5 May 1887, and was closed in 2 October 1988. Coa halt is situated 2½ km east of Pelourinho de Foz Côa.

Vila Nova de Foz Côa is a town of 7,300 people in Alto Douro wine region of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, northern Portugal. It principal draw for visitors are the sites of prehistoric rock art scattered through the nearby Côa Valley, and the museum in town that serves as a portal for understanding them.

Pocinho is a village in northern Portugal, located in the Vila Nova de Foz Côa Municipality. The Pocinho Dam and the River Douro are nearby. Pocinho railway station is the eastern terminus of the Douro railway line, so the community developed with the arrival of the railway in 1887. Pocinho is situated 5 km north of Pelourinho de Foz Côa.
