It forms part of the Brig-Visp-Zermatt railway, which connects the car-free mountaineering and ski resort of Zermatt with standard gauge lines at Visp and Brig. Täsch railway station is situated 140 metres southwest of Raiffeisenbank Mischabel-Matterhorn.
