Tășnad is a town in Satu Mare County, Crișana, Romania. It administers five villages: Blaja, Cig, Rațiu, Sărăuad, and Valea Morii. The town lies on the banks of the river Santău.

Santău is a commune in Satu Mare County, north-western Romania. It is composed of three villages: Chereușa, Santău and Sudurău. The earliest document to mention Santău dates to 1213, and is found in the register of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Oradea Mare. Santău village is situated 7 km northwest of Casion/Bar.
