Royal Tombs of the Joseon Dynasty
Jangneung is the tomb of King Danjong, the 6th king of Joseon. It is in Yeongwol County, Gangwon Province, South Korea. It was designated as a Historic Site in 1970 and a World Heritage Site in 2009 as one of the Royal Tombs of the Joseon Dynasty. Royal Tombs of the Joseon Dynasty is situated 3½ km northwest of Deokpo-ri.
