Jangheung is one of the southern parts of South Jeolla and is located in the Deukryang Bay area and in the eastern part of the Jangheung Peninsula. It borders Yeongam and Hwasun to the north, Gangjin to the west, Boseong and Goheung to the east. Jangheung-eup is situated 10 km southwest of Bukgyo-ri.
