Polovtsian babas

Polovtsian babas is a historic site in Kharkiv Raion, Kharkivs’ka Oblast’. Polovtsian babas is situated nearby to 24-pound cannon of the fortress artillery of the Slobid-Ukrainian regiments of the 18th century, as well as near M. F. Sumtsov Kharkiv Historical Museum.

The Kharkiv Ukrainian Drama Theatre also known as the Taras Shevchenko Kharkiv Academic Ukrainian Drama Theatre is a national theatre founded in 1935 out of remnants of the suppressed Berezil Theatre, which was founded by Les Kurbas in 1922. Ukrainian dramatic theatre is situated 280 metres north of Polovtsian babas.
