Alalcomenae or Alalkomenai, or Alcomenae or Alkomenai, was a town in Ithaca, or in the small island Asteris in the neighbourhood of Ithaca. Its site is located at the palaiokastro on modern Aëtos. Alalkomenés is situated 3 km west of ΕΛΤΑ.

Vathy or Vathi is the largest settlement on the Greek Ionian island of Ithaca and the seat of the Ithaca regional unit. It is located in the southern part of the island, in a deep natural harbour.
