Melnsils is a small village in Roja Parish, Talsi Municipality in the Courland region of Latvia. It is one of twelve Livonian villages on the Līvõd rānda - the Livonian Coast. Melnsils is situated 8 km northeast of Zilokalnu avots.

Slītere National Park is a national park in Talsi Municipality, Courland, on the west coast of Latvia. Although formally established in 2000, it is based on the former Slītere Nature Reserve, one of the oldest nature reserves in Baltic States.
