Erebuni Fortress

Erebuni Fortress is an Urartian fortified city, located in Yerevan, Armenia. It is 1,017 metres above sea level. It was one of several fortresses built along the northern Urartian border and was one of the most important political, economic and cultural centers of the vast kingdom. Erebuni Fortress is situated 770 metres northeast of Erebuni Shin.

Erebuni Historical-Archaeological Reserve-Museum, was established on October 19, 1968. The opening of the museum was timed to coincide with the 2750th anniversary of Yerevan. Erebuni Historical and Archaeological Museum-Reserve is situated 680 metres northeast of Erebuni Shin.
