The Gridone, Ghiridone or Monte Limidario is a mountain of the Lepontine Alps, overlooking Lake Maggiore near Brissago. At 2,188 metres above sea level, its summit straddles the border between Italy and Switzerland. Gridone is situated 4 km east of Alpe l’Alpino.

Camedo railway station is a railway station in the lower part of the village of Camedo, Switzerland. It is located on the 1,000 mm metre gauge Domodossola–Locarno line of the Regional Bus and Rail Company of Ticino. Camedo railway station is situated 3½ km north of Alpe l’Alpino.

Lago di Palagnedra

Lago di Palagnedra is a manmade lake at Palagnedra, Ticino, Switzerland. The reservoir has a capacity of 4,260,000 m3 and a surface area of 25 ha. The dam on the Melezza river was completed in 1952, height 72 m. Lago di Palagnedra is situated 3½ km northeast of Alpe l’Alpino.
