Locality
Purangi is a locality east of Inglewood, New Zealand, situated on the banks of the Waitara River. It is within the traditional tribal lands of Ngāti Maru iwi. Today, Ngāti Maru's headquarters are at Tarata. The Marae is called Te Upoko o te Whenua. Purangi is situated 10 km west of Pohokura Saddle.

Whangamōmona is a township in the Stratford District and Manawatū–Whanganui Region of New Zealand. It lies on State Highway 43, the "Forgotten World Highway", 65 kilometres north-east of Stratford and 55 kilometres south-west of Ōhura. Whangamōmona is situated 10 km east of Pohokura Saddle.
