Almaly is a station on Line 1 of the Almaty Metro. The station opened on December 1, 2011. On August 10, 2010, construction workers at Almaly station went on strike after the construction company had failed to pay the workers' wages for three months. Almaly is situated 130 metres southwest of Dinmukhamed Kunayev Apartment Museum.

The Ascension Cathedral, also known as Zenkov Cathedral, is a Russian Orthodox cathedral located in Panfilov Park in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Completed in 1907, the cathedral is made out of wood but without nails. Ascension Cathedral is situated 770 metres northeast of Dinmukhamed Kunayev Apartment Museum.
