Faro International Airport, officially Faro - Gago Coutinho International Airport, is located four kilometres west of the city of Faro in Portugal. The airport opened in July 1965 being the main gateway to Faro District and southwestern Spain, with more than 10 million passengers using the facility in 2025.

Faro station is the main railway station in the city of Faro, Portugal, operated by Comboios de Portugal. It opened on 1 July 1889. The line to the north-west is electrified, using overhead catenary. Faro railway station is situated 3½ km northeast of Ilhéu do Ramalhete.

Faro Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Faro, Portugal. The cathedral was consecrated in the name of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the late 13th century by the Archbishop of Braga. Faro Cathedral is situated 3½ km east of Ilhéu do Ramalhete.
