Tangeværket Dam

The Tangevaerket Dam is an earth-fill embankment dam on the Gudenå River just east of the village of Tange in Viborg Municipality, Denmark. The primary purpose of the dam is hydroelectric power production and it supports a 3.3 MW power station which is the largest in the nation. Tangeværket Dam is situated 1¼ km north of Færgehøjene.

Until 1 January 2007 it was the municipal seat of the former Bjerringbro Municipality and today, with a population of 7,433, it is the second largest town of Viborg Municipality, Central Denmark Region in Denmark. Bjerringbro is situated 4½ km northeast of Færgehøjene.
