Mimizuka
The Mimizuka, which was renamed from Hanazuka, is a monument in Kyoto, Japan. It is dedicated to the sliced noses of killed Korean soldiers and civilians, as well as those of Ming Chinese troops, taken as war trophies during the Imjin War.Photo: Wikimedia, CC BY-SA 3.0.

Hōkō-ji is a temple in Kyoto, Japan, dating from the 16th century. Toyotomi Hideyoshi determined that the capital city should have a Daibutsu temple to surpass that of Nara. Hōkō-ji is situated 170 metres northeast of Mimizuka.

Toyokuni Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto, Japan. It was built in 1599 to commemorate Toyotomi Hideyoshi. It is the location of the first tamaya ever constructed, which was later destroyed by the Tokugawa clan. Toyokuni Shrine is situated 180 metres east of Mimizuka.
