The Tien Shan Astronomical Observatory is an astronomical observatory located in the Tien Shan Mountains at 2,800 meters altitude, 30 kilometers south of the city of Almaty in Kazakhstan. Tien-Shan astronomical observatory is situated 230 metres west of Radiotelescope (Tyan-Shan’ observatory).

The Ulqen Almaty peak is a mountain peak of the Northern slope of the Tian Shan range of the Trans-Ili Alatau. The peak is located in the mountain spur of the Ulqen Almaty massif directly the North of the Tourist peak just 15 km from the Almaty city. Big Almaty peak is situated 3 km west of Radiotelescope (Tyan-Shan’ observatory).
