Sinchon station is a station on Line 2 of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway in Mapo-gu, north of the Han River. It is located between Hongik University station and Ewha Womans University station. Sinchon is situated 120 metres east of Daiso.

Sogang University was established on April 18, 1960 by the Society of Jesus, with the school being the oldest and only Jesuit institution of higher education in the country.
