Kappa-dera, officially known as Sōgen Temple, is a Sōtō Zen Buddhist temple in the Kappabashi area of Tokyo. It is named after the kappa, a Japanese folklore figure, and Kappa, a vendor in the retail corridor.

It is one of the four museums operated by the National Institutes for Cultural Heritage, is considered the oldest national museum and the largest art museum in Japan.
