Messestadt Ost is a Munich U-Bahn station on line U2. Messestadt Ost station is situated 240 metres south of Messe Ost.

Munich-Riem Airport was the international airport of Munich, the capital city of Bavaria and third-largest city of Germany. It was closed down on 16 May 1992, the day before the new Munich Airport commenced operations. Munich-Riem Airport is situated 1 km west of Messe Ost.

The Riemer See lake in Riemer Park, was a part of the Bundesgartenschau 2005, and is an artificial lake in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. The Riemer Park which is located in the new Messestadt Riem, was planned by the French landscape architect Gilles Vexlard.
