Aného is a town of 25,000 people in southeastern Togo on the Gulf of Guinea near the border of Benin. Aného is an old German colonial town, and a centre of voodoo along the West African pilgrimage route Voodoo Trail, which connects Lomé with Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso.
