It is inset approximately 350 metres from the Ishasha River, which is the Uganda-Democratic Republic of the Congo border locally, and is 1.3 kilometres from the town of Ishasha, Democratic Republic of the Congo, across the river in the DRC. Ishasha is situated 9 km southwest of Southern Gate Ishasha.
