At 1,493 metres the Feldberg in the Black Forest is the highest mountain in Baden-Württemberg, and the highest in Germany outside of the Alps and Bavaria. The local municipality of Feldberg was named after the mountain. Feldberg is situated 2 km southwest of HI8 Rinken.

The Baldenweger Buck is a mountain top, 1,460.5 m above sea level, in the Black Forest around 900 metres northeast of the Feldberg summit. The bare ridge drops steeply towards the west, north and east into the surrounding valleys of the Zastlerbach and Seebach.
