The University Hospital of São João, or simply São João Hospital, is the biggest hospital in Northern Portugal and one of the biggest in Portugal. The hospital is named after John the Baptist, São João in Portuguese and has been operating since 1959. University Hospital Center of São João is situated 290 metres east of IPO station.
