Hogonji Temple

Hōgon-ji is a Buddhist temple of the Ji sect in Matsuyama, Ehime, . It is famed as the birthplace of the Buddhist sage Ippen, who founded the Ji sect as an offshoot of the Jōdo sect in 1276.
