Cres is an Adriatic island in west Croatia. It is one of the northern islands in the Kvarner Gulf and can be reached via ferry from Rijeka, Krk island or from the Istrian peninsula.

Cres is a town located on the island of Cres which is directly off the Istrian Peninsula and in the Kvarner Gulf off the northern coast of Croatia. As of 2021, the town had a population of 2,716 inhabitants, which makes it the largest municipality on the island.
