The station opened in 1873 and is located on the Tczew–Kostrzyn railway, Działdowo–Chojnice railway, Chojnice–Runowo Pomorskie railway, Chojnice–Kościerzyna railway and Oleśnica–Chojnice railway. Chojnice railway station is situated 3 km west of Lipienice.
