Ciudad Darío is a town and a municipality in the Matagalpa department of Nicaragua. It is the birthplace of poet Rubén Darío and the legendary guerilla leader Edén Pastora. Previously known as Metapa and Chocoyos, Ciudad Darío is located 90 km from Managua. Ciudad Darío is situated 4½ km south of Baho El Norteño.

Situated at the junction of the Pan-American Highway and the Rio Grande de Matagalpa, Sébaco is the largest city of the agricultural Sébaco Valley, one of the most fertile areas in Nicaragua. Sébaco is situated 10 km north of Baho El Norteño.
