Passu is a village on the Karakoram Highway in the Gojal region of Gilgit-Baltistan. Although it has fewer accommodation options than some of its neighbouring villages, it has several attractions that might interest the visitor.

Gulmit is the administrative capital of Upper Hunza. The Mir of Hunza had his capital in Gulmit. Climate is pleasant during summer and cool during spring and autumn.
