The Gebre-Mariam French-Ethiopian High School, commonly known as Lycée Guébré-Mariam, is a French international school in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It was established in 1947 and in the same year had integrated the Mission laïque française. Lycée Guebre-Mariam is situated 150 metres east of Melka Tower.

The Tiglachin Monument, also known as the Derg Monument, is a memorial to Ethiopian and Cuban soldiers involved in the Ogaden War. It was built during the rule of Mengistu Haile Mariam and on Churchill Avenue in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Tiglachin Monument is situated 360 metres south of Melka Tower.
