The bath house was completed in 1931 and was listed on the Danish national registry of protected buildings and places by the Danish Heritage Agency on 15 February 1989 as a fine example of the Nordic funkis style. Spanien Public Baths is situated 220 metres northwest of Jyllandsposten Kantine.
