Rangatira Park

Rangatira Park is a suburb in the New Zealand town of Taupō. The suburb is located just north of Nukuhau and south of Huka Falls, on a hill above Waikato River. Residents of the suburb experienced an earthquake in September 2019.

Huka Falls is a set of waterfalls on the Waikato River, which drains Lake Taupō in New Zealand. A few hundred metres upstream from Huka Falls, the Waikato River narrows from approximately 100 metres across to a canyon only 15 metres across. Huka Falls is situated 3 km northeast of Rangatira Park.

It is a part of Wairakei, the largest geothermal field in New Zealand, with a surface area of about 25 km2, which lies in the Taupō Volcanic Zone. Craters of the Moon is situated 4 km north of Rangatira Park.
