The Air Force Museum of New Zealand, formerly called The Royal New Zealand Air Force Museum, is located at Wigram, the RNZAF's first operational base, in Christchurch, in the South Island of New Zealand. Air Force Museum is situated 4 km northwest of Oaklands.

Halswell Quarry operated between 1861 and 1990 before becoming the 60.4 hectares Halswell Quarry Park, one of many Christchurch City Council reserves. It offers a combination of walking and mountain biking tracks, historic sites, picnic areas, botanical collections, and six sister city gardens. Halswell Quarry Park is situated 2½ km south of Oaklands.
