Volkmarskeller is the name of a cave that used to have a church next to it in the vicinity of Blankenburg in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt.

The Büchenberg Pit is an old iron ore mine in the Harz Mountains of Germany that is operated today as a show mine. It is located in the village of Büchenberg in the municipality of Oberharz am Brocken in the state of Saxony-Anhalt. Büchenberg Pit is situated 2½ km west of Rastplatz Schirmfichte.

The Galgenberg is a 506.1-metre-high hill east of Elbingerode in the Harz Mountains of central Germany. It marks the highest point on the row of limestone crags found there. Galgenberg is situated 3½ km southwest of Rastplatz Schirmfichte.

Elbingerode is an Ortsteil of Oberharz am Brocken in the Harz district, in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt. The former town was incorporated into the newly established municipality on 1 January 2010. Its population is 3,101. Elbingerode is situated 4½ km southwest of Rastplatz Schirmfichte.
